Overextended Limbs
Large limbs that have grown long and heavy relative to their attachment point become a failure risk as they accumulate weight over years. Cabling installed at the right position in the canopy provides supplemental support that reduces the mechanical stress at the attachment point without removing the limb, preserving the tree's canopy while managing the risk.
Cracked or Split Wood
Wood that has already begun to split at a union can be stabilized with threaded rod bracing installed through the cracked section. The rod holds the wood together and prevents the crack from propagating further under normal load.
